Nova Strike
Pilot your fighter, hold the line, and tear through endless waves of enemy bombers. Auto-fire keeps shooting — you just decide where to be and when to drop a bomb.
About the game
Easy to start, relentless by the end
Nova Strike is an endless vertical shoot-'em-up. The first thirty seconds are a warm-up; by minute three the sky is thick with bombers and tracer fire. Your three-bar hull gives you room to make mistakes, and your bombs are the lifeline you save for when everything goes wrong at once.
One-thumb controls
Drag to fly and the cannon handles itself. No fiddling with a fire button while you dodge — perfect on a phone.
Escalating waves
Enemies get faster, tougher, and more numerous the longer you survive. Your score is a record of how long you held out.
Bombs as a lifeline
Bombs are scarce and clear the whole screen. Spend one too early and you'll wish you had it when the swarm arrives.
How it works
The rules of Nova Strike
Your jet sits near the bottom of the screen and fires upward automatically. Enemy bombers stream in from the top and drift toward you, and the larger ones shoot back. Destroy them with cannon fire, dodge what you can't kill, and keep your hull intact.
- Hull. You start with three hull bars. Taking a hit — from a bomber or its fire — costs one. Lose all three and the run ends.
- Bombs. You begin with two. Each one clears every enemy and bullet on screen and scores you points for the wreckage. You earn more from pickups and score milestones, up to five.
- Combos. Chain kills without getting hit and your score multiplier climbs, up to ×6. Take a hit and it resets to ×1 — so survival pays double.
- Power-ups. Downed enemies sometimes drop a ring: spread shot, rapid fire, a temporary shield, or an extra bomb. Most are timed, so use them while they last.
Your best score is saved in your browser, so there's always a number to beat.
Tips
How to last longer
Stay low and central
Hovering near the bottom-center gives you the most time to react and react to threats from either side. Dart up only to grab a falling power-up, then drop back.
Hold bombs for the swarm
The instinct is to bomb the first tough bomber. Don't. Save bombs for the moments three or four enemies and a wall of fire converge at once — that's when one bomb saves the run.
Protect your combo
A ×6 multiplier turns a modest run into a high score. Once your combo is high, play conservatively — a single careless hit wipes it out.
FAQ
Questions players ask
Is Nova Strike free?
Yes — it runs entirely in your browser at no cost, with nothing to install.
Does the cannon fire automatically?
Yes. You never press a fire button; your only inputs are moving and dropping bombs. This keeps it comfortable to play with one thumb on a phone.
How do I get more bombs?
Collect the "B" power-up rings dropped by destroyed enemies, and reach score milestones. You can hold up to five at once.
Why does it get so hard?
By design. Enemy speed, toughness, and numbers all scale with how long you've survived, so the game is an endless test of how far you can push.
Where is my best score stored?
On your own device, in your browser. It is never uploaded anywhere.
